[Mason, Ohio, March 31, 2025] — OneCity for Recovery is pleased to announce that it has received a $50,000 grant from Millstone Fund to support expanding its HopeLine Hamilton County program, specifically the Continuing Care initiative. This funding will enable OneCity for Recovery to enhance its intervention-based HopeLine program for individuals recovering from substance use disorder, addressing a critical need in the region.
The HopeLine’s client-centered approach prioritizes trust-building and long-term relationships. It offers two key services: Get-To-Treatment Navigation and Continuing Care. The Care Navigation to Treatment, which this grant will help establish in Hamilton County, provides proactive support to individuals during the first year of recovery—a period when relapse rates are highest. National data from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (2023) shows that 40–60% of individuals relapse within their first year of treatment. The HopeLine’s Continuing Care services include ongoing client check-ins, early relapse intervention, recovery resource navigation, and removal of barriers to sustained sobriety.
“Thanks to the generosity of Millstone Fund, we can expand our vital Continuing Care services to Hamilton County and support more individuals on their recovery journey,” said Kristie Hart, Executive Director at OneCity for Recovery. “Sustained recovery requires personalized, ongoing support, and this funding allows us to fill a crucial gap in the region’s treatment continuum.”
The grant aligns with Millstone Fund’s commitment to improving mental health and reducing health disparities in Greater Cincinnati. By investing in a HopeLine Continuing Care Coordinator for Hamilton County, Millstone Fund supports an evidence-based model that strengthens community health, reduces recidivism, and fosters long-term recovery.
