Hope Builder FAQ

Why monthly giving?

Monthly gifts give us stability, enabling us to plan ahead, respond quickly when someone needs help, and keep vital programs running year-round. It’s one of the most impactful ways you can support recovery in our region.

Can I change or cancel my gift later?

Yes. You’re in control. You can change, pause, or cancel your monthly gift at any time through your confirmation email or by contacting us directly. The easiest way to edit your recurring plan is to click the management link at the bottom of any email receipt.

Is $5 per month really helpful?

Absolutely. Giving $5 per month can supply hygiene kits, meals, or bus passes — small things that make a HUGE difference to someone just starting their recovery journey.

Where does my money go?

100% of your donation supports our HopeLine program, client outreach efforts (like outreach lunches and hygiene kits), client transportation, and ongoing care efforts across Hamilton, Butler, Warren, Clinton, and Montgomery Counties in Southwest Ohio.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. OneCity for Recovery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You’ll receive a receipt for your records.

What if I want to give, but not on a monthly basis?

Monthly giving is the most helpful, but we welcome support in any way that works best for you. Click here to give a one-time donation

What if I want to give through my workplace or company?

We’d love that. Contact us, and we can help get that set up.

Can I give through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?

Yes! You can make a one-time gift using DAFpay directly through this donation form. If you’d like to give monthly from your DAF, you’ll need to set up a recurring grant directly with your DAF provider (outside of our online giving forms).
