[Mason, Ohio, December 12, 2024] — OneCity for Recovery is proud to announce that Erica Parks, one of our Hamilton County HopeLine Care Coordinators, has been named the recipient of the prestigious Julie Martin Service Provider of the Year Award. This honor, presented during the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition’s “40 Years of Service Celebration” on December 5, 2024, recognizes Erica’s exemplary commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and her dedication to ending homelessness in Greater Cincinnati.
The Julie Martin Service Provider of the Year Award honors individuals or organizations who deliver exceptional services to those experiencing homelessness in Greater Cincinnati. Erica’s commitment to building bridges between individuals in need and the resources that can change their lives is a testament to the values and mission of OneCity for Recovery.
Erica joined The HopeLine in June 2023, bringing four years of experience in homeless and community outreach. Her lived experience with substance use disorder and homelessness inspires her work, allowing her to connect with clients on a deeply personal level. As a Certified Peer Recovery Support, Erica meets individuals where they are—offering compassionate care and tailored solutions to address their unique circumstances.
Beyond her work with clients, Erica is actively involved in the Hamilton County community. She contributes her expertise and lived experience to several key initiatives, including the Homeless Outreach and People With Lived Expertise Workgroups, On The Front Lines Community Alliance, and the Peer Advisory Council.
“We are incredibly proud of Erica’s well-deserved recognition,” said Elaine Su, Program Manager at OneCity for Recovery. “Her unwavering dedication to the mission of ending homelessness, combined with her deep empathy and community engagement, embodies the very essence of this award. Erica’s work changes lives and inspires all of us to keep striving for a brighter future.”
